The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God said yesterday Friday the politicians are liars and that he does not trust them
Pastor Adeboye spoke in Obafemi awolowo University, ile ife in an interdominal prayer.
According to the cleric, politician in most cases hardly fulfill their promise.
Adeboye illustrated his claim with the story of three travellers. An Indian, a jew and a politician.
He said while the three men were travelling they had a problem and went to a farmer for help, the farmer said he could only accommodate two people.
He said the Indian volunteered to sleep in the barn but came back few minutes later and a said there was a cow there .
The Indian according to the illustration said he couldn't sleep in the barn because cows is God's worshipped in his country.
The jew also came back complaining that there were pigs there and the whole place was dirty.
The politican then volunteered to sleep in the barn. But instead of the politician to come back to complain, Adeboye said that it was the pig and cow that came knocking that the politician should be sent away because he promised he would make the environment clean and conducive with air conditioner.
The cleric said "I dnt trust politicians. Politicians are liars. They don't fulfill most of their promises. A politician can tell you he he will give all of you (students) one chicken each which we know it's impossible.
Pastor Adebayor however asked Nigerians to stop worrying themselves about who will emerge winner in the coming elections.
According to him, God is a master planned who has already planned the leadership development of nigeria.
He further said "God has already planned who will be the president of Nigeria, God has already planned that before we were born. He said God is not like humans Who doubt what is to be done. He has planned everything .
Vice chancellor of OAU prof Bamitale Omole hailed the cleric for his yearly presence in the university saying the initiative was having a positive impact in the school "He said we appreciate the love of Pastor Adeboye." with God and his presence last year, we had no calamities and also emerged as the best university in nigera. He urged students to be more prayerful and cautious of what they da as God will protect us all...
